This is Shriya Gomes, an Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) student at RV Institute of Technology and Management, who founded the first Astronomy club of RVITM, The Starfleet Club, is driven by her deep passion for space and astrophysics. Her vision is to create a vibrant community where space enthusiasts can come together to explore the wonders of the cosmos. With an unwavering dedication to inspiring others, Shriya aims to transform this club into a thriving platform for research and discovery. Through her leadership, she hopes to ignite the same curiosity and enthusiasm for space in others that fuels her own academic journey.
Story of Starfleet
Inspired by the Starfleet from Star Trek, the Starfleet astronomy club wishes to expand the space knowledge to every student present in RVITM. Just as the original Starfleet aimed to advance the Federation's knowledge of the galaxy and its inhabitants, our club aspires to expand our understanding of the universe through both scientific and non-scientific avenues. By fostering a culture of curiosity and innovation, the Starfleet club seeks to encourage its members to delve into the mysteries of space, conduct research, and share their findings. We aim to create a platform where enthusiasts can engage in meaningful exploration and contribute to the collective knowledge of our cosmic surroundings, inspired by the same ethos that drove the legendary Starfleet.
